Strengths and Weaknesses

One of the subjects I've always been told to put a lot of thought into is my strengths and weaknesses. So, for this post, I'll go over one of each. One of the strengths that I feel I have is my coachability. In other words, I believe I'm able to take advice and apply it to myself reasonably easily. I can only really credit all the years I've spent in Kung Fu to my devellopment of this particuliar strength. Having spent basically my entire life getting advice on how to improve upon myself has really stuck. A weakness I see in myself is that I can sometimes get angry and stubborn with people . Especially after spending long periods of time with a certain person, it's inevitable that some friction will be created. However, I sometimes find myself getting more hostile than most in these situations. The reason I classify this as a weakness is that it can sometimes subdue or even nullify my coachability. For example, if I spend days on end with my sister, I can get ir...

Rehabilitation

Well, it's been about 3 weeks since I injured my arm. Needless to say, my recovery process is basically complete. I'm able to do normal pushups and bagwork, though I've been keeping the latter light. Sadly, however, lots of my mucsle buildup has decreased slightly, and I'm finding it tough to do sets of the same quantity. What I'm realizing is that recovery and rehabilitation aren't just about an injury healing, but also about climbing back up and being able to reach the same physical abilities I had before my injury. However, if I keep my training consistent and myself motivated, I should be able to recover completely in not too much time.

Recovery

Well, it's been almost two weeks since my biking accident. It's been annoying, not being able to do pushups, chinups, or pretty much any arm-related training for two weeks. However, I know that taking it easy, and giving myself time to recover, is key to being able to come back into training and eventually bring it back up to my highest level. I don't think it should be too long before I'm able to start fully training again, after a doctor's visit Friday, we concluded my injury should be healed in less than a month. Still, I'm going to make sure to take it slow and ease into full training again.
