Tiger Challenge

If you look at it the right way, anything is a learning experience. However, if you're blinded by whatever may blind you, the learning part could be left behind. During the Tiger Challenge, this past weekend, I realized it could be experienced in one of two ways. Either you're there to learn, and to have fun, or you can be there just to win, and neglect it as a learning experience.

On another note, as those of you present would remember, I failed my board breaks. This was my second time doing so, and I messed up the same way both times. After my first time, this past Monday, I spent a lot of time thinking about how I'd failed, and how I could improve. What I believe to have been the problem was that I almost overanalyzed, and convinced myself my solution would work, without going back and checking. As it turned out, I made the exact same mistake- positioning the outside hammerfist too close, jamming the technique. Next time, I'll give myself way more room than I see fit, allowing me to dynamically correct as I step into the technique. This is certain to give me a better result.

As well, I'd like to give my thanks to Mr. Bjorkquist and Mr. Dyble for being such impeccable holders for my boards. The unbroken board was my fault, not anyone else's.
